Opportunities

OK. So there's this position at work that's kind of like a step above where I am now. At first I didn't want to apply because there is this rumor that you can't move anywhere within the company until you've been employed full time for 9-12 months. I haven't. I talked briefly with my manager and she said that I was the first one to come to mind when the position opened up. Maybe there could be a chance for management discretion??? I went ahead and applied earlier today. I don't know if the position is still open, but it doesn't hurt trying, does it? I know another girl I work with who applied for the position. I felt guilty about applying because I know she needs money if it's a pay raise. But I talked with her and she said that she would encourage anyone in our area to apply. We'll see how my effort goes.

My pup is not feeling well. She was barfing for most of the day and not eating and very lethargic. Classic symptoms of gastritis in dogs. I gave her some pepto bismol about 4 hours ago and no barfies. Guess that helped. She's still not wanting to eat, but everything online says to hold off on food for about 24 hours and then begin back up with a bland meal like chicken and rice or something that won't upset her stomach. I'll just be glad when she's back to her old self. It's sad to see her not feeling well and not knowing exactly what's wrong or what to do.
